During its second year in business in Mount Pleasant, Fleet Feet has continued to expand its reach in the running community. Known for personalized shoe fitting and highly knowledgeable staff, this year Fleet Feet also continued their partnerships with local organizations to support healthy habits for young Charlestonians. Joining forces with Meeting Street Academy and the Charleston County ROTC program, Fleet Feet helped almost 100 young runners train for local races and donated 400 sports bras to keep Lowcountry kids moving.

Fleet Feet is a constant presence at local races, sponsors themed pub runs, and has running training programs for all levels of fitness. The latest additions to its suite of programs are No Boundaries II, a program that helps 5k runners go further, gain endurance and build a base for longer distances and “Strollin Moms” that brings moms together for fun, camaraderie and fitness. To date, more than 400 people have trained with Fleet Feet for 5ks, 10ks and Half Marathons!

“Being actively involved in our local community will always be a main focus for us.” said Fleet Feet owner Chris Minkel. “Going into our third year we will continue to remain true to our mission of empowering people of all ages to live a healthy, active lifestyle-whether that is through customers we have the opportunity to serve and educate in our store or through our expanding community outreach programs. Our continued growth and ability to support community projects would not be possible without our amazing customers! We are so thankful for all the wonderful people that have chosen to shop local and help our business support the local economy.”
